When I got on at Atlantic Pacific station R train, I kept hearing these words being repeated but wasn’t sure where and who.
Taking off my Beats and looking around the car discreetly I caught a glimpse of a small man holding his hands over his ears and rocking back and forth.
I wasn’t sure if he was talking to himself or someone in particular. Just as I was about to put my Beats back on and resume listening to my daily Africa Today – BBC World Service when he started up right in front my very eyes.
It looked suspiciously like the young lady next to him, maybe no more than 14-15 years old was deliberately taunting him. She must have realized he had a sensitivity to the sound coming from her headphones and decided it was funny to turn her sound up intermittently to see his responses. People in the car were giggling and looking on every time he jumped, covered his ears, and screamed ”shut up”.
This little charade continued for 5 minutes until u got off at 45th Street Station.
I felt sympathy for this man because I wasn’t sure what is specific issues were. Why people felt it was funny I don’t know but I hope he got to his destination intact.
Sometimes all it takes is putting yourself in another persons shoe. Would you like someone treating you like that? To err is human yes but to be cruel is inhumane.
Does the physical difference imply superiority and therefore dominance one over the other ?
Or, does it suggest completeness…The very reason to come together to share, to love, procreate and then grow into something better and more beautiful than self.
Dominance is just control.
What is given, not what is taken is important and beautiful.
You cannot dominate what isn’t given freely.
Any good emperor, king, ruler will concur. His subjects follow him unconditionally based on his ability to rule with a great woman beside him. He looks to her for advise and rules with heart, wisdom, integrity, decisiveness and fairness.

I found this little sunflower gem on my way to work this week. Thought if my neighbor Jackie. She’s an avid gardener and she grows beautiful sunflowers.
Early morning commute and this little tike had to drink a soda. I felt for her.
Labor Day meal prep. Caribbean people love their foods. This is Accra, which can generally be eaten with anything and anytime of day but many prefer it at breakfast. Typically eaten with fry bake, or johnny bake, but rice and a choka is good as well.
Homelessness in New York is disparaging. I shot this chap at the Prospect stop in Brooklyn. MTA what’s happening here?
My mom being Vogue I just did her hair😘

In one of my post earlier this week I posted about the heart. I featured this young man in the hat. Don’t know him but he was very kind. Got up and gave his seat to an elderly man. So sweet.

Construction workers need a shout out too. This patient lady works by the bridge on 3rd Avenue
Stinky garbage day. This is what sanitation pick up day is like in NYC – blocked roadways, lots of delays and traffic due to sanitation, delayed MTA buses and school buses and many people running late for work due to Dept of Sanitation.

Found a shoe I really liked at Payless but opted not to buy it. I don’t need another shoe, but it was so cute and practical 😍
